Community Sounds® Limited is beginning with music, and the Community Sounds Community Gospel Choir (CSCGC) is the first of what will eventually be a number of choral ensembles operating in different dimensions. As such, the recruitment of adequately skilled choral directors is a major priority. CSL is committed to the practice of ‘safe singing’ and developing the musicianship of those who sing in its choirs. As a team of tutors and musical leaders is built up, CSL also plans to extend the range of its services into instrumental music provision across different genres, focussing on the key areas of musical literacy, technical development and musicianship awareness.
Our intention is to reach a place where we can also offer opportunities in drama, creative writing, visual arts, and dance. However, as a small organisation, Community Sounds® is committed to providing the best quality, therefore initiatives in each medium will only be offered when CSL is sure it can deliver something of real quality.
